2. SPM (Special Purpose Machines)
Conceptualize, design, and implement
SPMs for automation and productivity improvement
.
Prepare
machine layouts, functional specifications, and design reviews
.
Coordinate with vendors for SPM manufacturing, FAT, SAT, and commissioning.
Troubleshoot SPM issues related to mechanical, process, or sequence failures.
3. Process Engineering
Develop and optimize
manufacturing processes, operation sequences, and work instructions
.
Conduct
cycle time studies, line balancing, and capacity planning
.
Implement
process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke)
to improve efficiency and quality.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
4. Assembly Engineering
Define
assembly processes, layouts, and tooling requirements
.
Support assembly line setup, pilot builds, and mass production ramp-up.
Address assembly-related quality issues and drive corrective actions.
Improve ergonomics, safety, and productivity in assembly operations.
5. CAM Programming
Lead
CAM programming for CNC machining operations
.
Optimize tool paths, cutting parameters, and cycle times.
Support prove-out, first-off approval, and machining process stabilization.
Ensure proper documentation of CNC programs and revision control.
6. Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead and mentor
design, process, and CAM engineers
.
Allocate tasks, track progress, and ensure on-time project delivery.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Production, Quality, Maintenance, SCM, and Vendors.
Participate in technical reviews and management reporting.
