About the Role :

We're seeking an Engineering Lead / Architect to design, build, and guide the development of our next-generation voice AI platform. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership -- shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring we deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

? Own the overall technical architecture and system design of our platform (including APIs, services, data layers, and integrations)

? Choose appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to align with business and product goals

? Define and review API contracts, data models, and infrastructure components

? Break down product features into detailed engineering tasks and estimate effort

? Set and enforce coding standards, security practices, and performance guidelines

? Mentor, coach, and review code from engineering team members

? Collaborate closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure alignment and quality

? Oversee scalability, reliability, and cost optimization of cloud infrastructure

? Contribute hands-on to critical components, especially during initial builds or high-impact phases

Requirements

? 6+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a lead or architect role

? Strong experience designing and building large-scale, distributed systems (preferably cloud-native, microservices)

? Deep knowledge of API design, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven architectures

? Hands-on expertise with technologies such as Node.js or TypeScript (additionally Python is a plus).

? Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services

? Strong understanding of CI/CD, security best practices, and monitoring

? Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate between technical and business needs

Nice to Have

? Experience with AI/ML systems, voice tech, or real-time streaming architectures

? Familiarity with WebSockets, ASR, or NLU/NLP pipelines

? Prior startup or scale-up environment experience
