The position is for a CFD Engineer to perform aerodynamics, propeller performance, flight stability analysis and support experiments for an electric UAV logistics aircraft.
Key responsibilities
Perform mid-fidelity and CFD analysis of aircraft and component aerodynamics, including lifting and control surfaces.
Perform mid-fidelity analysis of aircraft static and dynamic stability.
Perform transient CFD analysis of propeller performance and its aerodynamic interaction with aero-structural surfaces.
Perform capability development activities to improve existing analysis methods.
Support ground test experiments of aerodynamic components and flight test of UAV aircraft prototypes.
Close interaction with cross-functional design, FEA, avionics team members.
Qualification & skills
MTech/MS in Aerospace Engineering from IIT, IISc, reputed institutes.
Relevant work experience of 0-2 years. Fresh MTech graduates from reputed institutes, with relevant thesis project work, will also be considered.
Experience with RANS/LES CFD meshing and analysis software (Ansys Workbench, Ansys Fluent, OpenFoam).
Experience with mid-fidelity aerodynamics analysis software based on vortex lattice method, panel method (XFLR, OpenVSP).
Exposure to programming software is desirable (Matlab, Python).
