Job Description

The Civil Engineer - Waterproofing & Repairs will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing waterproofing, structural repairs, and building rehabilitation works across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The role involves conducting site assessments, identifying leakage/structural issues, proposing suitable solutions, preparing BOQs, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring high-quality and timely completion of works.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct inspections and diagnostic assessments to identify waterproofing failures, seepage/leakage points, and structural deterioration. Develop technical solutions and method statements for waterproofing and repair projects (wet areas, basements, terraces, podiums, expansion joints, facades, tanks, etc.). Prepare estimates, budgets, BOQs, and material specifications as per project requirements. Evaluate and recommend suitable waterproofing and repair systems (e.g., membranes, coatings, injection grouting, crystalline products, cementitious treatments, FRP, polymer mortars). Coordinate and supervise site execution, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and engineering standards. Work closely with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure project milestones are achieved. Monitor daily progress, maintain site documentation, and prepare progress reports. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Perform post-completion inspections and ensure successful resolution of defects/snags. Provide technical support during tendering, procurement, and material selection.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems and building repair technologies. Proficiency in reading drawings, creating work plans, and project documentation. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in diagnosing leakage and repair issues. Strong supervision, team coordination, and contractor management abilities. Knowledge of safety procedures and site risk assessment. Good communication and reporting skills.

Educational & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Required); Master's in Structural Engineering is an advantage. 3-8 years of experience in waterproofing, repair, or building rehabilitation projects. Familiarity with products and systems from leading waterproofing manufacturers is preferred. Site execution experience is mandatory.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
