US GCC Water team in WSP India is looking to induct Water & Wastewater professional in our Bengaluru/Mumbai/Noida office. As a Water & Wastewater professional, you will have the basic understanding of water/wastewater engineering. In this role, you will get the opportunity to work on projects across Water Infrastructure projects, primarily in United States, as part of a wider team of accomplished cross sector and multi-disciplinary professionals across geographies. Also, this position offers the opportunity to be part of a dedicated Water team working on a range of project sizes and types, from stand-alone engineering, design to multi-disciplinary development projects.
The successful candidate will gain experience in coordinating with our US counterparts in the development and delivery of water infrastructure projects through various stages of the project cycle including inception, planning, feasibility, data analysis, detailed design, drawing production and construction support while adhering to WSP standards. You will gain by creating solution for management of water and wastewater and integrating your solutions into our client's overall project.
Perform hydraulic design of conveyance design (Water distribution & Transmission network/ long?distance pipelines) and sewer/wastewater network design, hydraulic calculation, pipeline sizing and assist in composing & preparation of hydraulic reports.
Design of pump station, system head curve development, surge analysis for rising main/ pressure mains.
Perform design pressure zoning, control valves, Storage tanks, Route optimization, feasibility & optioneering and handing material selection based on native American standards.
Design combined and separate sewer system, Area take off calculations for run-off surfaces, flow estimation, wet-well sizing, rising mains for sewer.
Support the project team in planning of water & wastewater infrastructure elements in greenfield and brownfield projects.
Consult with and take guidance of senior engineers and collaborate with peers.
Track and manage workflows and delivery timelines.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, tolerances, safety factors and project brief.
Responsible to participate and support the Company's SHEQ within their scope of duties.
Trains and coordinates with engineering and technical support staff

Professional Membership/ Qualification with UK/US Institutes is desirable
Master's degree in relevant discipline (Civil/Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering/ Management or other relevant discipline)
Bachelor's in civil / environmental engineering/Water Resources Engineering
A minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience within a consultancy environment
Experience
Experience in hydraulic analysis and design of water & wastewater infrastructure such as network, pumping station, storages etc
Experience in Conveyance design (water distribution & transmission networks)
Water treatment process understanding
Sewage / wastewater network design
Stormwater management & wet utilities
Experience with Bently Open WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, HAMMER
Working Knowledge in softwares such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D is most desirable
Working knowledge of Bentley Microstation, Open Roads Designer is desirable
Ability to independently read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience in directing rainwater runoff from motorways and roads, park, green areas away from water sources would be an added advantage.
