Purpose of the position

a.This is a customer representative role and is responsible for evaluating Product Attribute Leadership Strategy (PALS) and Statement of Intent (SOI) across all products in PVBU and EVBU, in line with customer, brand and segment expectations.
b.PALS & SOI creation & evaluation is integral part of TML product development process - hence the role need to be performed for effective product delivery as per time, cost & performance requirements

Relevant Experience :
1. 2-10 years of relevant experience
2. Knowledge of automotive design / development is an added advantage
3. Expertise in evaluating vehicle subjectively and ability to correlate with attributes.
4. Working knowledge of current and future Technology.
5. Detailed understanding of customer, brand and segment needs, attribute definition, attribute futuring.
6. Experience in evaluating latent and explicit customer requirements, and ability to convert them into engineering terms is an advantage

Key Responsibilities :
S.N. Key Responsibility & Key Tasks Measures
1 Customer experience and product definition (pre-DR0) -

  • Provide inputs to PALS and SOI in line with DNA, customer, segment needs, for each program through participation in the product planning process
  • Define customer use cases and provide input to attribute teams for creation of Feature SOI
  • Analyse syndicated reports acquired from external agencies e.g. J.D.Power and provide inputs regarding customer expectations for the selected target market of the product.
  • Support drives for a comparative study of Core and Adjacent Benchmarks of the Project under consideration, involving teams like Planning, Marketing, VET, VEM, etc. for a better understanding of all attributes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Quality of SOI and PALS
  • SOI/PALS discussed and approved in PC for all major programs
Education

Work Experience

2 Product development and evaluation of development prototypes (buck to PO/PP, (DR0-DR4) -
  • Evaluate all representative prototypes for conformance to attribute intent and SOI, and highlight issues (if any)
  • Provide customer perspective for solutions to improve attribute experience toward achievement of SOI requirements
  • Generate formal reports (FIR) that conform to PALS and SOI at major milestones.
  • Conduct regular ride and drive events for attribute centric evaluation to plan future development, along with PAT leads and VEM
  • Facilitate drive execution for external VET based on internal evaluation.
  • Evaluate each vehicle being offered to senior management / external parties to provide input on issues (if any). \xe2\x80\xa2 Quality of evaluation feedback
  • Quality of solutions provided to achieve SOI and customer needs
  • Quality of final tuned attribute experience
  • Issues successfully demonstrated and aligned for closure
3 PDCA of evaluation methods (post DR4)
  • Evaluate Media Launch vehicles on a comprehensive level for Dynamic as well as Static issues, if any, and report these issues to concerned parties. Re-evaluate the updated vehicles and make sure that the previously raised issues have been rectified.
  • Review the Analysis of customer/media feedback and upgradation of new evaluation methods
  • Report identifying hits and misses and causes for the same
4 Competition Product mapping (on a continuous basis)
  • Plan and complete Mystery shopping for all newly launched products of all competition OEMs.
  • Report out detailed analysis and observations for Static evaluation of the car at showroom as well as Dynamic evaluation during the Test Drive of the car. \xe2\x80\xa2 Report providing an exhaustive & unbiased insight about the product in comparison to articles published by media houses.
5. Continuous improvement
  • Identifying Continuous improvement opportunities for Products by identifying Use cases that will enhance User Experience for the customers.
  • Derive Use cases through experiencing and driving various Benchmarking cars from all segments and all price brackets.
  • Deriving Use cases through content available on the Internet and other Literature \xe2\x80\xa2 Quality and Relevance of suggested Use cases
