Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Engineer - Software Development
to join our Automation Engineering team. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, development, and implementation of
software solutions for industrial automation systems
, including
PLC, HMI, SCADA, and robotic applications
. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in industrial software development and system integration under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development:
Assist in developing, testing, and debugging automation software applications for PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
Programming & Configuration:
Work on programming industrial controllers (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.) and configuring communication protocols such as
Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP
.
System Integration:
Support integration of hardware and software components in
robotic cells, assembly automation, and testing systems
.
Testing & Validation:
Participate in software simulation, debugging, and onsite commissioning activities to ensure functionality and performance meet design specifications.
Documentation:
Prepare and maintain software-related documentation, including logic flow diagrams, I/O lists, and user manuals.
Troubleshooting:
Assist in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving control system issues during development and commissioning stages.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the electrical, mechanical, and project engineering teams to deliver integrated automation solutions.
Continuous Learning:
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in automation software, industrial networking, and control systems.
Professional Conduct:
Maintain discipline, punctuality, and a collaborative attitude. Escalate technical issues to senior engineers as needed.
Work Experience
0-2 years
of relevant experience in
industrial automation, robotics, or control system software development
.
Hands-on exposure to
PLC programming (Siemens / Allen Bradley / Mitsubishi / Omron)
preferred.
Basic understanding of
HMI/SCADA systems
, motion control, and sensors/actuators.
Familiarity with
C / C++ / Python / Ladder Logic / Structured Text
will be an advantage.
Academic Qualifications & Certifications
B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering
(Diploma candidates with strong practical experience may also apply) Certification or training in
PLC, HMI, or SCADA programming
preferred.
