About the Role
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) plays a key role within the Technology for Business (TfB) team. This position involves partnering with development and technology leaders to translate requirements into automated testing frameworks, ensuring code quality across the delivery pipeline. The SDET is embedded in the full development lifecycle and leads the implementation of automation strategies, while supporting both functional and non-functional testing to maintain reliability and performance.
What Youll Do

• Ensure requirements and user stories are testable; clarify ambiguities
• Provide testing estimates and maintain test activities
• Develop and maintain manual and automated test suites
• Manage defects and coordinate with end-to-end testing teams
• Use tools like SonarQube for code coverage analysis
• Integrate automated tests into the Continuous Delivery pipeline
• Design automation systems and tools for engineers
• Contribute to unit, performance, scalability, and durability test case design
• Provide and manage test data for all delivery phases
• Stay up to date with testing best practices and tools
• Coordinate with Dev and Ops to uphold testing standards
• Participate in design and code reviews

What Youll Bring

• 2-4 years experience with at least 3 programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, JavaScript)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills
• Understanding of Agile development lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, TestNG, Appium, Sauce Labs, Rest Assured, Postman, Cucumber, Jasmine, Protractor
• Familiarity with TDD, BDD, and various test strategies
• Experience with CA Service Virtualization or similar tools
• Proficiency in issue tracking and agile project management platforms
• Experience in CI/CT/CD and DevOps environments
• Development experience on Unix/Windows or mobile platforms (Android/iOS)
• Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
