A Day in the life
The role involves the co-ordination with cross-functional teams, Support in preparation of test matrix and micro-schedules, instrumentation, data analysis, performing and supervising the vehicle functional tests along with report preparation for the projects under their responsibility.
The FD Engineer should understand and ensure all tests comply with the legal and regulatory requirements, while adhering to current Hero best practices outlined in SOPs, STPs and Engineering Guidelines.
Academic Qualification & Experience
BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive/ Mechatronics
Engineering from renowned Institute
Technical Skills/Knowledge
Minimum 2 years' experience.
Experience in automotive, motorsports engineering, tyre or suspension development will be valued
Any college Automotive or Motorsports experience through programs such as SAE Baja, Formula Students, etc. will be valued.
Behavioural Skills
Good understanding of vehicle dynamics, Suspension and brake system working principles
Hands on experience of instrumentation and data acquisition systems such as 2D, V box etc.
Experience of motorcycle riding and subjective evaluation of vehicle functions will be valued
Basic knowledge of CAD software would be appreciated
Documentation skills, Problem solving, analytical skills
