Hybrid Working We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\'re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date. Ensure that the team delivers good quality and maintainable code with high test coverage . Be hands-on in development, code reviews and unit testing . Contribute to architecture and design decisions . Expertise in optimizing, refining and performance tuning applications, script and processes . Highlight and managing risks and issues via effective controls and standard Barclays processes . Enhance and improve the application development capability within the team, via automation and innovation . Produce various management information reports showing trend analysis, KPI\'s and executive summaries What will you be doing . Business Analysis & Design: Actively engage with Business Analysts and IT partners in the requirements analysis for system enhancements and changes. . Interpret and understand functional specifications . Working independently on all phases of development and testing . Actively manage the defect life cycle . Support regression development and testing, impact assessment which shall be on demand basis . Support the Project Manager as well as Technical Lead in the inception, epic creation, feature creation as well as Story writing to ensure clear scope and acceptance criteria in line with Agile delivery methodology . Create, groom and maintain the project feature and story backlog in addition to any changes to those requirements. . Take part in scrum activities. . Work with agility and provide support to business partners. . Should be able to work as an Individual Contributor as well an active team player. What we\'re looking for: . Professional presentation and communication skills. . Strong hands on in SQL(TSQL - MS SQL Server 2017 and above is must , PLSQL Oracle 19c will be highly preferable) is a must. . .Net 5 (C# 9+, ASP Net MVC WebApi) and above is must. . Strong knowledge of MS Office suite specifically Excel is a must. . Windows Forms/WPF knowledge will also be given preference. . Angular 9 and above will be very much beneficial. . Hands on knowledge of Team City, Sonar Qube, GIT, JIRA is must and knowledge of setting up devops pipeline is preferable. . Ability to think outside the box and deliver with product mind-set. . Adherence to industry recommended coding standards and performing code review and unit testing. . Ability to work at all levels of SDLC and all tiers of the application architecture. . Working knowledge of techniques like LEAN / KANBAN would be preferable. . Should be able to work on multiple tasks and manage them efficiently Skills that will help you in the role: . Experience in Cloud adoption for implementing a micro service architecture application. . Functional knowledge in Risk, Finance and Treasury domain within a bank. . Ability to build productive working relationships with other IT groups, business users and support teams. . Excellent problem solver.
