Role Description

The position is located in Corporate Bank - Transaction Surveillance Technology. Our goal is to protect our customers and Deutsche Bank against breaches of sanctions & embargo policies, as well as against fraud and company-damaging business practices in payments. Therefore, we develop innovative software solutions for checking regulatory and technical requirements in real time.

To strengthen our development team, we are looking for Software Engineer who can design, develop and implement innovative solutions to achieve our goal.

As a Software Developer / Engineer, you design and develop application code for business issues, implement technical solutions and configure applications in different environments. You will provide technical expertise to analyze and troubleshoot issues identified during either development or production phase to improve system stability.

Further, this role will be part of the Hotscan Core scrum team comprising of functional analysts and engineers for the CB Tech area. The team is responsible for developing and implementing solutions around the Hotscan product for the sanctions and embargo area in an Agile SDLC.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and development of components of a real-time transaction surveillance solution around the Hotscan product.
• Manages the maintenance of applications and implements planned engineering changes according to agile principles / processes.
• Provide Level-3 technical support as part of reliability engineering team
• Implementation and compliance with bank policies (naming conventions, encryption, security settings, capacity, availability and other non-functional requirements).
• Code reviews based on the four-eye principle as well as problem and root cause analysis.
• Design, implementation, execution and results analysis of automated unit, integration, regression, resilience and performance tests.

Apart from daily development activities, it is also expected that you contribute on following:

• Review and take in of vendor deliverables / packages
• Integration of the above with DB infrastructure
• Presentation for technical as well as business audience in demo sessions
• Strong on technical problem-solving (analyzes the technical defect, identify the root-cause and provide workaround/permanent solution).
• Technical support for functional as well as performance testing.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer-Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent
• Total 3-5 years of experience in IT industry with exposure to software development

Must have skills-

• Programming: Java, REST, APIs, JSON, XML (Python optional)
• Query/Scripting: SQL basics, shell script/ pearl basics
• Middleware: IBM MQ, Active MQ
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, Git, Maven, Artifactory

Nice to have skills-

• Dev Ops: Jenkins, Team City, u-Deploy, Ansible
• Middleware: JMS, Kafka
• Advanced Oracle 12c: Data Migration, Partitions , Performance Tuning, AWR Reports
• Container: Docker, Kubernetes, any cloud platform
• Functional: Payment Industry overview, Sanctions screening, MT/MX messaging
