Position Summary: The position is a key member of a team and is responsible for generationof all Process Control and Instrumentation design, engineering and procurement on the project. The role of aProcess ControlEngineer is to manage one or more projects with minimal guidance and supervision. The Candidate shall possess a good understanding of design, execution and implementation of Control and Instrumentation systems across AirProducts plants and products. The role is expected to participate in developing the process controls execution strategy, controlling the process controls budgets for materials and man hours, tracking and reporting project progress and ensuring that the project schedule is maintained. This role is responsible for delivering the process controls / instrumentation deliverables on a project. Principal Accountabilities: A Process Control engineer is expected to Lead for process control activity to assigned project & is responsible for meeting quality of deliverables, schedule & man hours. The candidate shall be technically sound & shall be able to generate and check process controls and instrumentation. Meet project schedule requirements for generating documents and also review of VDRs Good communication skill to interact with intra-discipline coordination as well as inter-regional office communication. Plan and organise work to meet deadlines dictated by project schedules. Liaise with other engineering disciplines to agree operational and interface details on all project packages and equipment. Liaise with vendors and resolve technical issues. Provide field support during installation and support pre-commissioning, commissioning and plant start-up team. Responsible for issue of specification of Control system (PLC, DCS, SIS), instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level etc), Control Valve, PSV and Silencer etc. Responsible for checking and approving process of the Instrument design deliverable. Example - location layout, hook-up, wiring diagram, cable schedule etc. Having good working knowledge on SPI (In-tools) platform. Recommended Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation) and 7-10 years of work experience required. Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with various disciplines across Customer Engineering and Air Products centres. Must have strong ability to multi-task in a busy work environment. Strong technical capabilities and ability to interface with all relevant stakeholders - customers, vendors, project team, construction team etc. Should have the ability to work on all controls & instrumentation deliverables. Demonstrated experience of having worked on end to end - basic design to commissioning. Have the ability to generate specifications independently, vendor offer reviews and vendor document reviews.
