Summary: We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing professional to support and enhance press brake operations within our production environment. The role involves developing accurate press brake programs, designing and optimizing processes for improved efficiency, and ensuring smooth machine setup and operation

1. Press Brake Programming

• Program, set up, and optimize LVD CNC press brake machines using CADMAN software to ensure precision, efficiency, and safety in metal bending operations.
• Develop and verify CAM programs and setup files ensuring collision-free tool paths and accurate bending sequences.
• Conduct program prove-outs, generate tooling charts, and ensure consistency in bending results using CNC crowning systems.
• Monitor and adjust back gauge axes (X, R, Z1, Z2) as per bending requirements.
• Select and configure appropriate tool clamping systems (Vertical, US, Universal), and manage quick-change tooling to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot programs and support seamless implementation on the shop floor.
• Enable short-run, high-mix production flexibility to meet dynamic production demands.

2. Process Design & Optimization

• Drive setup time reduction and throughput improvement through process innovation.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
• Utilize proficiency in 3D modeling software such as CATIA, CREO, SOLIDWORKS, and AutoCAD for process planning and design.

3. Press Brake Machine Setup & Operation

• Perform setup and programming of LVD press brakes as per job specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling and determine optimal bending sequences based on technical drawings and material properties.
• Adjust machine parameters considering material type and thickness; create and manage databases for material, tooling, and part thickness.
• Collaborate in Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) for process improvement and fixture design.
• Contribute to cost estimation, machine upgrade assessments, and selection of advanced bending machines.
• Work closely with operators and engineers to refine bending strategies and ensure repeatable quality.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency and product quality.

4. Cycle Time and Productivity Enhancement

• Introduce and evaluate advanced forming tools and technologies to improve bending operations.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement measures for cycle time reduction and productivity enhancement.
• Support day-to-day operations of the press brake section to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
• Leverage data analytics and TPM activities to drive continuous improvement and enhance equipment performance.

Adherence to Compliance:

• Promote and maintain a culture of safety, good housekeeping, and adherence to operational standards.
• Ensure adherence to systems and documentation as per AS9100, EMS, OHSAS & ISMS, and customer-specific requirements.

• Valuing the information received & effort spent in creating every piece of information. Ensuring the right information is accessed by right individuals. Ensuring Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of information.

• Responsible to control usage of energy sources for Environmental protection and Energy Security for sustainable growth.

Requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Production/ Tool and Die Engineering.

Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience for Degree in Engineering
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience for Diploma in Engineering

Functional/Technical Competencies Required:

• 2+ years of experience with CNC press brake programming (preferably LVD).
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (CADMAN, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and bending principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of safety standards and quality control procedures.
• Knowledge of 3 axis, 4 axis and 5 axis CNC programming will be an added advantage.
