As an Engineer in Data Platform & Architecture, you will work on projects under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.



Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using modern frameworks Take ownership of modules and drive development from concept to production Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability through best practices Collaborate with team members, QA engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers Help Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and non-production environments Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our coding practices and standards


Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years' experience in designing, developing, and orchestrating ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, and AWS Glue

, including building scalable data ingestion and transformation workflows using PySpark, workflow scheduling tools, and modern data engineering best practices.

Minimum 3+ years' experience working with cloud data ecosystems and data warehousing technologies,

including developing complex SQL transformations, creating and optimizing Snowflake stored procedures, and implementing reliable, production-grade ETL/ELT solutions within modern data pipelines. Minimum 3+ years' experience or equivalent of AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service and/or microservices architecture and/or commensurate skills building commercial applications with modern software engineering practices Minimum 3+ years' experience or equivalent of Agile development and delivery - Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban methodologies and/or microservices architecture and/or commensurate skills building commercial applications with modern software engineering practices Minimum 3+ years' experience or equivalent of modern relational and NoSQL databases (Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MySQL, etc., is a big plus) and/or microservices architecture and/or commensurate skills building commercial applications with modern software engineering practices Minimum 3+ years' experience or equivalent of Terraform, Serverless, AWS Cloud Formation, Azure Front Door, CI/CD in Azure Devops, Security groups, auto scaling etc, Git/GitHub, Monitoring, Log Analytics and/or microservices architecture and/or commensurate skills building commercial applications with modern software engineering practices


Tech-Stack

Strong foundation in core data engineering technologies including

Python, SQL, PySpark, and Snowpark APIs

, with hands-on experience developing scalable data transformation and processing workflows. Proficiency in modern programming and scripting for data engineering workloads using Python, SQL-based development, and distributed processing frameworks. Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and related services, particularly:

Snowflake:

Data warehousing,

SnowSQL, SnowPipe,

stored procedures, streams/tasks, and performance optimization

Orchestration & Workflow Tools: Apache Airflow,

event-driven scheduling, DAG design, dependency management

Data Processing: PySpark,

Snowpark, large-scale ETL/ELT development

DevOps/DataOps Tools: Liquibase

for schema versioning and deployment automation Experience with Code Repository, CI/CD , test driven development is preferred. Creating Unit Testing and Automated integration tests is strongly preferred. Experience with multi-cloud AWS/Azure/GCP cloud is a plus. AWS is required/Others preferred. Data processing experience at scale, generating and consuming large feeds. Experience with other cloud data warehouses like Redshift/Azure SQLWH etc., (nice to have). Experience in handling big data at PB scale (nice to have) Experience in dbt, SQL Mesh would be a plus (nice to have)
