Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Plastic Injection and Extrusion Moulding Engineer from the electronics industry, capable of handling high-quality plastic components used in products such as LED TVs, soundbars/speakers, mixer grinders and other consumer electronics. The role involves process optimization, material selection, troubleshooting and ensuring premium surface finish and consistent quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, operate and optimize plastic injection and extrusion moulding machines. Manage production of high-cosmetic plastic parts used in consumer electronics. Select and control plastic material grades (ABS, HIPS, PP, PC, PC+ABS, etc.). Optimize process parameters to achieve defect-free and consistent output. Troubleshoot machine, material, tooling and process-related issues. Ensure product quality meets cosmetic, dimensional and functional standards. Handle new model development, trials and changeovers. Coordinate with Quality, Tooling and Maintenance teams for issue resolution. Maintain SOPs, process sheets, quality documents and production records. Ensure compliance with safety, EHS and 5S practices.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Strong hands-on experience in both injection and extrusion moulding. Knowledge of electronics-grade plastics and cosmetic finish requirements. Expertise in defect analysis (sink marks, flow lines, weld lines, warpage, scratches, black dots, gloss variation). Understanding of tooling, dies, calibration systems and auxiliary equipment. Familiarity with quality control tools and inspection methods.

Educational Qualification:

Diploma / BE / BTech in Plastic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Experience in consumer electronics manufacturing (LED TV, soundbar, speaker, mixer grinder, small appliances). Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and process improvement skills. Quality-driven mindset with focus on productivity and cost optimization.
