Key responsibilities

Create nesting layouts:

Prepare and optimize nesting layouts for CNC plasma and oxy-fuel cutting machines, maximizing the utilization of steel plates and minimizing scrap.

Generate CNC files:

Develop accurate CNC cutting files for all structural components, including columns, rafters, purlins, girts, bracings, and mezzanine beams.

Analyze drawings:

Interpret technical and fabrication drawings (DXF, DWG) to accurately translate part geometry and specifications into nesting programs.

Software proficiency:

Use nesting software such as FastCAM, ProNest, SigmaNEST, or other industry-standard applications to create nesting programs.

Material management:

Coordinate with the planning and purchasing teams to manage the inventory of raw steel plates and track consumption. Generate Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and cutting lists for fabrication.

Quality assurance:

Review and verify nesting files against fabrication drawings to prevent production errors. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the CNC cutting process.

Process improvement:

Continuously work to improve nesting processes and strategies to enhance productivity, increase material yield, and reduce lead times.

Reporting:

Maintain detailed records and version control of nesting files. Generate production reports to track material utilization and scrap rates.

Cross-functional collaboration:

Work closely with the PPC, Design, Quality Control, and Production teams to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing workflow.

Required qualifications and skills

Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or a related Engineering field.

Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in nesting and CNC plasma cutting within the PEB or heavy steel fabrication industry.

Software expertise:

Mandatory proficiency in nesting software like FastCAM or ProNest. Knowledge of other nesting programs is a plus.

Technical skills:

Strong knowledge of PEB components, steel fabrication standards, and plate cutting processes.

CAD software:

Must be familiar with AutoCAD for reading and interpreting structural drawings.



Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
