DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create 3D comparison files using CT Scan data and CAD data.
  • Perform metrology inspection via CT Scan data.
  • Convert scan data to applicable format for dimensional analysis.
  • Analyze dimensional results to give feedback to product teams.
  • Provide data and reports that easily convey dimensional differences visually.
  • Manage incoming workload to meet the needs of our internal customers.
  • Evaluate drawings to determine the best method to measure a part as well as work with and provide feedback to engineering.
  • Participate in the review of results with engineering and quality departments.
  • Understand, support, and contribute to current Molex Quality Management System, Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
  • Uses interpersonal skills to reach consensus with team members when conflicts arise and work to maintain team cohesiveness through difficult team decisions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.



EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE Required Experience:
  • Associate Degree in Technical Field or 5+ years of experience in Metrology Lab
  • 1+ years of experience with CAD/CAE/CAM files
  • 3+ years of experience in dimensional inspection
Preferred Experience:
  • Volume Graphics experience programming highly desired
  • Geomagic Control experience
  • CMM programming experience
  • Working with 3D STL files.


SKILLS & ABILITIES: Required Experience:
  • Spanish and English speaking.
  • Solid working knowledge of GD&T application (ASME Y14.5-2009)
  • Understand metrology principles.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • PC skills. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and other Windows based software.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Strong self-starter with ability to work independently or with minimal direction.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
  • Basic statistical knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of electrical connector part function.
  • Familiarity 3D and 2D tolerance analysis and plastic manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed. Responsibility for all shifts.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to customers, suppliers, or other Molex locations, including international sites.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Recognizes failures and set-up problems.
  • Exercises good judgment to determine problem areas and need for appropriate verification and improvement.
