Duties:
The Design Engineer will perform various engineering work in designing products and custom options to meet specific customer needs.

Duties:
The Design Engineer will perform various engineering work in designing products and custom options to meet specific customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare 2D Drawings using the SolidWorks CAD tool.
- 3D part modeling of Sheet Metal parts and extrusions using SolidWorks software.
- Create/ modify SolidWorks assemblies for parts, drawings, etc.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, Production drawings and GA drawings.
- Create new standard parts, Kits and configurable assemblies and sub-assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Assigning new parts numbers for the truck components and assemblies using JDE.
- Document design process.
- Check-In and Check-Out of models in PDM live environment.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in mechanical engineering with 4 to 8 years of experience or similar preferred; may consider associate degree with 5 to 9 years of experience.
- 2+ years of experience working with truck body design elements.
- In-depth knowledge of truck body manufacturing process.
- In-depth knowledge of truck body regulatory requirements.
- Solidworks/ PDM proficiency and certification is preferred.
- Excellent working knowledge of sheet metal design and weld fabrication processes, along with knowledge of assembly and welding procedures.
- Ability to \xe2\x80\x9cwork with the team" and engage in work "hands-on".
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- English Proficiency: Excellent written and oral Communication is required.
