Duties:
As a Mechanical Engineer Level I - CAD, He will be working in the fast-paced engineering environment working on creating the 3D models, Sheet Metal designs, Assemblies, Drawings related to Truck's, Equipment, Electrical Routing, Electrical Brackets, Process, and structures using Solidworks CAD. He should also work on body to chassis mounting requirements, should be able to design mounting methods to integrate the Body and Chassis using SolidWorks CAD. Engineer should have hands on experience on mechanical linkage designs and its application. Good hands-on experience working on the electrical routing, Schematic Layout, Harness Details is minimum required. He must also have good experience of PDM structuring, PDM Management, Creating new folders. Follow the client standards and deliver the quality CAD models and drawings. Knowledge of EPDM check in/outs, Data Cards and ERP exposure is required.
Responsibilities:

• Design complete custom parts and assemblies using Solidworks CAD software. This will include 3D mechanical design, layout functionality, 3D models, drawings etc.
• Develop mounting system and mounting brackets to mount body with chassis.
• Modular mounting interior to the body for securing internal items.
• Knowledge in 4-bar mechanisms (needed for solution to deploy sidewall/awning).
• Understanding of linking requirements to design to "path-to-validation.
• Detail engineering of the parts and assemblies for manufacturing.
• Electrical routing using SolidWorks CAD, Creating Schematic, Harness drawings and connector details.
• Design new sheet metal brackets for mounting the electrical connectors.
• Templates for Drawings, Material Libraries, Part Libraries in SolidWorks PDM.
• PDM management, PDM Administration, PDM folder structuring is required.
• Good hands-on experience in sheet metal design and fabrication process.
• Create/ modify SolidWorks assemblies for parts, drawings, etc.
• Understand OEM specifications to complete a mounting kits design, drawings, and bill of material for manufacturing.
• Process documentation and work instructions experience preferable.
• Assist Engineers with required engineering models.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer with 4 - 7 years of experience or Associate Engineer with 6 - 9 years.
• Two years of experience in Mechanical Engineering of utility trucks is preferred.
• Linkage design for awnings and doors is required.
• Solidworks/ PDM proficiency and certification is preferred.
• Detail engineering of Modular concepts to mount the various equipment on the floor of the truck and should be able validate the same.
• Experience with folding doors, linkage system for awnings is required.
• Proficient with SolidWorks Routing, Schematics, Harness Drawings and Connector details.
• Excellent working knowledge of sheet metal design and weld fabrication processes, along with knowledge of assembly and welding procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Possess the ability to recognize the application of multiple equipment components and their combined integration to achieve specific requirements.
• Experience working with Onsite Engineering team and manufacturing is required.
• English Proficiency: Excellent written and oral Communication is required.
