Educational Background

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher with a good academic record.
Position Overview

The Engineer - Manufacturing will be responsible for designing, optimizing and managing the systems, processes and tools to efficiently manufacture laboratory equipment and components, focusing on quality, cost, and speed.
Duties & Responsibilities

Review designs for manufacturing feasibility check. Create manufacturing process, layouts, workflow for new designs - Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machine Shop, Pressure Vessels and Assemblies. Select, develop & validate tooling, jigs and fixtures to improve accuracy, productivity and quality. Calculate and monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness of machines, and suggest removal or replacement of low performance machines. Be responsible for CAPA and KAIZEN. Collaborate with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production teams for process improvement / setting up SOP's. Provide assistance to the management in new machine acquisition decisions. Analyze existing manufacturing processes and suggest scope of automation where needed. Participate in 5S initiatives on the shopfloor Ensure compliance with safety, industry, and company policies.. Assist in trials for new product development or process validation.
Required Knowledge & Abilities

Good understanding of fabrication and welding processes & machines such as CNC Bending, Laser welding, Lathe etc.. Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments. Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks - preferred). Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts (5S, Kaizen). Proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on approach to problem-solving. Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving. Data driven decision making. Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office. Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written. Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.
Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in the manufacturing industry in the production or manufacturing engineering departments.

Pay: ?700,000.00 - ?800,000.00 per year
