Job Title: Engineer - Maintenance (Electrical / Mechatronics)
Location: India Supply Unit, Chennai
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance and availability of Facilities like Material handling equipments, HVAC, IBMS, Audio Video system, CCTV, Access control system, Visitor Management system and etc. within our industrial facility.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for minimizing downtime, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Are you the One?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably from a manufacturing industry / IT complex
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge in adhering to statutory compliances related with industry standards
  • Knowledge in ISO standards (e.g., OSHAS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
What will you be doing?
  • Effective implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance actions aiming to upkeep the equipment availability
  • Daily routine to monitor the operational parameters in critical equipments such as MHE, HVAC, IBMS and Other Facilities.
  • Capable to trouble shoot and attend the failures with minimum downtime
  • Coordination with all stake holders in facilitating meeting / Special events related with KONE Internal / Global requirement. Coordination with OEM, supplier and other service contractor to ensure on time planned service of equipments
  • Manage spare parts inventory, maintenance records, and work orders using CMMS tool.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of maintenance technicians and service subcontractors.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of plant shutdowns and equipment installations.
  • Prepare technical reports, maintenance KPIs, and documentation.
