Engineer, Pune Our NielsenIQ Technology teams are working on our new \'Connect\' platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on NielsenIQ\'s data and insights to innovate and grow. As a Senior Software Engineer, you\'ll be part of a team of smart, highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. Right now, our platform is based in Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, Apache Ignite, Postgres, Python, Elastic Search, Azure and we continue to adopt the best of breed in cloud-native, low-latency technologies. We value CI/CD in everything that we develop. Our team is co-located and agile, with central technology hubs in Chicago, Madrid, Toronto and Chennai. Responsibilities Writing complex, maintainable, quality code using Java, Spring Boot, Python, PostgreSQL and ReactJS using microservices architecture. Participate effectively in design, implement, and maintain stable, reliable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS. Assist with code deployments, investigation and resolution of production issues. Participate in full software development life cycle (SDLC) of cloud based solutions - conceptualize, design, develop, test, deploy and support/enhance. Develop subject matter expertise of the products/components developed and supported. Qualifications Strong fundamentals and hands-on experience in back-end and front-end object-oriented programming, including proficiency in Java, and Spring boot. Experience in integrating Restful APIs, microservices architecture and solid knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL. Hands on experience in Microsoft Azure. Hands on experience in ReactJS a plus. Ability to solve complex challenges independently or with minimal assistance. Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across cross-functional technology teams and business stakeholders including Product Leaders, Senior Tech Leaders and Program team. 2.0+ years of applicable experience.
