WSP India is currently seeking a Intermediate Professional - Instrumentation & Control Engineering for Canada Projects.
(Oil & Gas). They shall be responsible for supporting the detail design, implementation, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems for our oil and gas facilities.
The position is for BANGLORE location.

This role is for a Intermediate Professional - Instrumentation & Control Engineering for Canada Projects
Strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems in oil and gas facilities
Prepare Technical Bid evaluation, Material Requisition, Datasheet & Specification preparation for instrument equipment, and cost estimation for instrumentation and control systems
Knowledge and experience of selection & sizing of instruments
Knowledge of AutoCAD, PLC programming & SCADA systems, and Navisworks
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with instrument equipment such as Transmitters, control values, Gauges and terminology
Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Codes, Middle East standards and IEC Standards.
Must complete a high-quality self-check of own work with efficiency. Shall follow internal QC processes.
Perform review of engineering drawings, as per markups made by the Checkers. Verify to ensure drawings modifications are accurately and correctly conducted.
Reporting progress of work assignment to immediate supervisor. Understands the project schedule and budget requirements.
Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.
Coordinating with Canadian lead offices as per project requirement.
Be able to perform Material Take-Offs with excel.
Ensuring that quality procedures are implemented and maintained.
Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Team Lead.
Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
Develop expertise and stay up to date of developments in instrument & control system skills.
Support the company's approach to sustainability.
Be able to communicate in a multi-disciplinary project team.
Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP service to clients. Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline.

Strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems in oil and gas projects
Knowledge and experience in selection & sizing of instruments, instrument index preparation, Technical Bid evaluation, Material Requisition, Datasheet & Specification preparation for instrument equipment.
computer literate with a good proficiency in MS office suite and Navisworks.
Knowledge of control system software and hardware, such as PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI
Familiarity with instrument equipment such as Transmitters, control values, Gauges and terminology

communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team.

Preference will be given to candidates with minimum 6-10 year of experience in a consulting firm in Oil & Gas, mining, water treatment, and EPCM projects
Preference will be given to candidates with Proficiency in control system software SPI and hardware, such as PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI
Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g. CEC, API, ISA, IEC, NEC)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis.
6-10 years of experience in Instrumentation and Control system design, and detail engineering for Oil & Gas projects.
Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or other related.
Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
Strong attention to the detail.
Experience with projects in Canada, Europe, Middle east would be an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English
Experience with Navisworks, BIM 360 or Bentley Open Plant and ProjectWise.
