Summary of Position

The Software Test Engineer II \xe2\x80\x93 position provides an opportunity for aspirants who aspire to get into deep understanding of software for instruments used for protein and cell analysis, and to get hands on experience working with team in a fast-paced software design and software quality assurance environment. The Software Test Engineer II in the role, will contribute to project development and testing by assessing new software to ensure that its performance meets product and customer requirements. Software Test Engineer II shall help perform verification and validation testing on instruments to learn about the integrity of the product itself and its performance in different environments.

Position is for full time employment and is based out of Bangalore, India only.

Essential Functions not limited to

• Shall be capable of designing testing scenarios for usability testing and capture all remote possibilities for error.
• Be involved with many aspects of software quality assurance and some software design and analysis tasks.
• Shall be able to

• Provide feedback on specifications and designs.
• Interact with the Product Owner and Engineering Manager to understand product requirements or in case the design requires any kind of modifications.
• Create test-product documentation and must participate in testing related walk through.
• Prepare all reports related to software testing carried out.
• Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures.
• Conducting risk assessments to identify risks associated with testing, such as test environments, technical, data and tools, and regression risks.
• Shall coordinate with Scrum master and PO for regular updates and sprint planning.

• Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
• Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve.
• Desire to contribute and improve design of new and existing scientific instrumentation product features.
• Prepare all reports related to software testing carried out.
• Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures.
• Specimen preparation from variety of sources, acquire data as per defined standards.
• Accountable for data storage and retrieval as per requirement.

• Masters / Ph.D in any branch of life sciences with good academic background
• At least 3 years of proven experience in animal cell culture, flow cytometry, microscopy and other techniques.
• Proficiency in handling flow cytometry applications on different platforms.
• Use of offline software tools for image analysis, flow cytometry data
• Proficient in MS office, statistical analysis tools
