Software Engineer III - Applications
Omnicell is looking for an experienced Software Engineer for our Engineering organization. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing a wide range of Engineering IT resources, has a working knowledge of modern Cloud architectures and a focus on DevOps best practices.

Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7

Translate business requirements into effective technology solutions
\xc2\xb7 Lead the design, architecture and development of multiple microservice components
\xc2\xb7 Aid in design and code reviews
\xc2\xb7 Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
\xc2\xb7 Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources once deployed
\xc2\xb7 Assist in providing technical leadership to agile teams - onshore and offshore: Help mentor junior engineers and new team members, and apply technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems
\xc2\xb7 Help define the technology roadmap that will support the product development roadmap
\xc2\xb7 Continue to improve code quality by tracking, reducing and avoiding technical debt

Required Knowledge and Skills:\xc2\xb7

Significant experience building web-based applications and RESTful API\'s. Ideally using C# and the .NET Framework.
\xc2\xb7 Comfortable deploying service oriented and microservices architectures
\xc2\xb7 Have experience in many of the following areas:
\xc2\xb7 Deploying service oriented and microservices architectures
\xc2\xb7 Building event-driven architectures using messaging systems/service bus, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
\xc2\xb7 Shipping new features in a SPA environment.
\xc2\xb7 Working experience with one of JavaScript Frameworks (React, Angular, JQuery) is required
\xc2\xb7 Deploying applications in the public cloud using technologies like AWS, Lamdba, Docker, Kubernetes. Any relevant experience in other cloud platforms, such as Azure, can be considered too.
\xc2\xb7 Healthcare or pharmaceutical experience working with interfaces such as HL7, FHIR. EDI and knowing what PHI means is a big plus.
\xc2\xb7 Thoughtful about creating the right architecture but realizing the realities of having customers and the need to shipping software.
\xc2\xb7 Enjoy helping mentor junior engineers.
\xc2\xb7 A can-do attitude and ability to make a positive impact our culture.
\xc2\xb7 Understand agile and enjoy working in 2-week release cycles.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to always put the customer first

.Basic Requirements:
\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering/MCA
\xc2\xb7 5+ years\' experience in software engineering
\xc2\xb7 3+ years of experience building web-based applications with:
\xc2\xb7 C# and .Net framework or equivalent
\xc2\xb7 Angular 4 or equivalent

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:\xc2\xb7

• Master\'s degree in Engineering/IT/Computer Science
• 4+ year of Experience in C# and the .NET Framework
• 6 months+ experience in .Net Core
• 3+ years of experience with a microservices architecture
• 1+ years of experience in Angular 4 or above
• 1+ years of experience with AWS
• 1+ year of experience with technologies like CloudFront, Kubernetes, VPC, RDS, etc
• 1+ year experience working with healthcare specific data exchange formats including HL7 and FHIR.
