Who we are:



We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT's product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.

Roles and Responsibilities

:Perform design, sizing and selection of optimum propulsion system for Electric & Fuel based UAV platforms. Prepare the CAD model and readiness to perform the CFD simulation of propeller with multibody using the commercial software (Ansys Fluent/CFX), followed by post-processing the results and documentation. Perform experimental tests to characterize the propulsion system and generate the performance data. Prepare propulsion models using the Python/MATLAB to support the UAV design and processing of computation and experimental data. Work with the cross functional subsystem to meet the design requirements. Prepare technical reports associated with the tasks performed for the company record. Readiness activities of the propulsion system throughout the design and development phase.

Must have skills:

Aerodynamics/Fluid Mechanics/Thermodynamics Propulsion Strength of Material Good knowledge in CFD analysis of rotary flow aerodynamics. Interpretation of flow physics based on the CFD results and validate the problem solution with the theoretical computation and experimental results. CAD tool : Solidworks, Catia, Spaceclaim CAE tool: ANSYS FEA, CFX, FLUENT Low fidelity tools : QMIL/QPROP, XROTOR, Scripting language : Python/Matlab

Good to have skills:

Good knowledge in theoretical and computational practices followed in external/internal flow aerodynamics. Exposure to low Reynolds number related flow problems would be an added advantage. Good knowledge in CAD. Hands-on experience in handling the experimental test of propulsion would be advantageous. Familiarization in using MDO tools (HEEDS / MODE FRONTIER) would be advantageous.

Basic Requirement (education & relevant experience):



? Bachelor's/Master's degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering* Minimum relevant experience of 2-5 yrs.
