Wire Harness Design Engineer - I (B.E/B.Tech in E&C or E&E)

Design and develop electrical wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and wiring diagrams for both low-voltage and high-voltage systems. Select and specify appropriate electrical components, including connectors, terminals, cables, and protective coverings, based on system requirements and environmental factors. Create standards to define wire lengths, optimize routing paths, and ensure proper fit and integration within the UAV structure. Generate comprehensive manufacturing drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and documentation for production and quality control. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to determine optimal placement of electrical equipment and attachment hardware. Ensure all designs comply with relevant aerospace and electrical standards (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620) and safety regulations. Perform or support electrical analysis, including signal integrity, power budget, grounding requirements, and EMI/EMC mitigation. Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate harness and subsystem functionality. Support manufacturing, assembly, and integration activities by troubleshooting issues and implementing design improvements. Participate in design reviews and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define interfaces and requirements. Document failure analysis and implement corrective actions for any non-conformances.
