Job Description

Job Role:

• Core component testing activities. (Global/Regional)

• Regional (Hosur) and Global machines maintenance activities (Hardware & Software). Diagnosing of servo hydraulic and electric control systems.

• Machine installations. (Regional) – FAT/ Leading new launches projects, machinery acceptance process. Acting as technical point of contact for external suppliers.

• Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. TPM level1&2 introducing and executing.

• Integrating NI hardware with servo hydraulic machines.

• Custom test signal creation for all regions. Generating drive profiles signals for testing machines. Translating customer data collection to drive profiles signals to run testing machines.

• Testing and debugging of control and measuring software (TePM) in NI LabVIEW environment.

• Developing post processors and software tools (small stand-alone applications).

• Global testing and Proto shop KPI preparation.
  • Preparing monthly OEE report for Sint-Truiden testing
  
  

• Maintaining global test specifications in DA3.

• Procurement activities for Regional and global machine in Hosur. (Can be off loaded)

• Supervising Prasanth Panwar (Bawal) to perform the tests on newly installed SincoTec machine.

• Supporting LTTS team if they have any queries or need any support related to product testing

Qualification:

Education/ Certification:

• Master in (Mechatronics) engineering (Good to have)
• Bachelor degree (in Mechatronics) – instrumentation technician sr/expert position (*): has grown internally to the position, based on a very long experience in the company. For every new Instrumentation engineer, a master degree will be required.

Work Experience: 5 – 8 years

• Hands on experience in testing & instrumentation

Specialized Skills/Knowledge:

• Fluent in English and the local language.
• Detailed knowledge in data acquisition hardware & measurement chains
• Detailed (Servo)controller knowledge
• Detailed knowledge on data manipulation and signal creation
• Good general skills in office PC applications
• Willingness to travel on an ad-hoc basis to visit other Tenneco facilities abroad/domestic
• Good knowledge on hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics
• Basic knowledge in NI – LabVIEW environment
  • (Good to have: CLD)
• Developing control and measuring software in NI LabVIEW environment (medium and large applications).
• Designing, maintaining, diagnosing of data acquisition systems based mainly on National Instrument equipment.
• Testing and debugging of control and measuring software (TePM) in NI LabVIEW environment.
• Developing post processors and software tools (small stand-alone applications).

• Manual skill to execute basic maintenance activity.
  • Fluent use of diagnostic and measuring tools such as meters, oscilloscope, generators etc.
  • Knowledge of electrical measurements.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity, mechanics, and hydraulics with ability to read documentation.
  • Knowledge of automation, servo drives, controllers

• Designing, verification, safety systems for machinery.
• Data analysis and MSA by means of Six Sigma methodology
