Comcast has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become an Intermediate Middleware/Web Engineer of Media Infrastructure Technology with a specific focus on support of the Media Technology and Infrastructure Division for COMCAST Operations and Technology (O&T). O&T supports Enterprise Technology, Broadcast and Production systems across the COMCAST portfolio globally. The Senior Engineer for Web/Middleware will partner with COMCAST resources on day-to-day operations and platform support, long range initiatives planning, collaboration with cross-functional business leaders and partners, and participate in a dynamic team providing \'best in class\' support for our COMCAST Media I stations. Areas of Responsibility Subject matter expert in web and middleware technologies Maintain current knowledge on trends and best practices in the web/middleware technology space Lead and advise in the design of highly available, scalable, secured, distributed web and middleware hosting solutions Collaborate with application teams to establish CI/CD orchestration pipelines Collaborate with team colleagues to review and evaluate solutions to customer design needs Respond to incidents and service requests identify areas of optimization and lead efforts to implement them Collaborate with Cyber Security and identify solutions for remediation of vulnerabilities in the web and middleware infrastructure Collaborate with Enterprise Monitoring to implement monitoring and alerting for web and middleware technologies Participate in 24/7 support by acting as an escalation point for any production issues Provide technical guidance to team colleagues REQUIREMENTS: Skill Sets Four years technical expertise in at least two of: Internet Information Services (IIS) JBoss Enterprise Application Platform Tomcat Apache Web Server At least one year of experience with at least two of: Automation tooling (Ansible, PowerShell, shell scripting) Git Load balancing Public Key Infrastructure Single-Sign On tooling Web application & traditional firewalls CI/CD pipeline tooling Secrets management Comcast is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
