I. Purpose
At the Bekaert India Technical Center (BITC), we are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where every team member can thrive. Your role will be pivotal in showcasing Bekaert's technological Influence by providing exceptional solutions and services to our customers.
II. Roles and Responsibilities
Your Impact as 'Engineer - FEM':

• Customer engagement: Understand and anticipate customer needs, delivering solutions that exceed expectations. Be the key contact for customers, connecting Bekaert's technology with their R&D teams by addressing technical queries and steering new product industrialization projects.
• Project collaboration: you will work on collaborative projects with customers, enhancing our product offerings and creating unique value propositions.
• Technical support: Provide expert assistance in advanced steel-cord processability at the customer's end and represent the customer's voice within Bekaert.
• Relationship building: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with customers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
• Global expertise utilization: Leverage Bekaert's global expertise to offer relevant, value-added services tailored to customer needs.

Your Roles & Responsibilities as 'Product Development Engineer':
Lead Joint development projects with customers:

• You will translate customer challenges into technical solutions that deliver value and lead joint development projects to strengthen Bekaert's position as the preferred technology partner.
• you will provide expert support for product processability and application, ensuring smooth and timely industrialization.
• You will Lead FEM simulation projects to understand the tyre mechanics and support on customer projects.

Use technology and market insights to drive innovation & problem solving.

• You will develop and leverage in depth understanding of tyre mechanics to support on development of new products/solutions for the market.
• You will lead cross-functional collaboration to solve complex customer challenges with innovative technical solutions.

Develop and maintain product and application domain expertise.

• You will develop in-depth knowledge of steel cord manufacturing processes and their impact on product performance.
• You will stay updated on tyre technology trends, maintain technical databases, and share insights with global teams to support innovation and market alignment.

III. Skills and Competencies
We welcome people with:

• Master's degree in Mechanical/Applied Mechanics/Materials Science/Rubber/Polymer
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work self motivated.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in handling complex data and effective presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel domestic & internationally for varying durations
• Fluency in English and Hindi.
• Up to 5 years of experience in Customer facing roles in technology is preferable.
• Experience in FEM Simulation is preferable.
• Six Sigma Green belt and Project management experience is added advantage
