Design Engineer , Manufacturing - CBS, Chennai Are you Interested to be part of a global organization and contribute to implementation of designs and mechanical systems What is the Job all about In this role, you will be required to meet with clients to determine their design requirements, plan and implement the design of mechanical systems, develop and test prototypes, and work closely with the manufacturing or Supplier teams to ensure that design specifications are met. This role will be directly reporting to the Manager and to be based in Chennai, India. Your main responsibilities: To act in line with the Grundfos Purpose, Values and its policies, and to be part of CSU Team. Meeting with Sales teams and clients to determine mechanical applications and requirements. Select, Design and Develop suitable components required for the mechanical systems with cost effective solution. Planning and developing the mechanical design using CAD/CATIA software with 3D and 2D tools within project timelines. Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs. Prepare Part Code Creation and Bill of Material for the system in SAP. Validating the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes through testing. Documenting the design process, iterations and maintain product design file. Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents and release Engineering Change Master documents Excellent knowledge of ISO welding standards, DIN/ANSI standard in piping, Sheet metal Fabrication and Enclosure design. Initiate improvements in design through Standardization, Cost optimization solution without compromising safety and quality Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices. Your background: Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent work experience (3-5 years) A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks and Catia Competencies: Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices. Key organizational and problem-solving abilities Good time management and organizational skills. Extensive verbal and written communication abilities.
