Job Description

/ Responsibilities :

To independently handle Piping and equipment Modelling responsibilities of specific project for various marine systems using various 3D software like Cadmatic. Preparing of 3D design, Equipment Layout , piping layout, piping Isometric, Piping Support design, Clash checking , MTO generation To ensure all design work is safe and compliance with international codes & standards and overall technical integrity of project is maintained as per project specification. To participate and provide vital 3D-Model review, constructability review and value engineering reviews. To ensure all piping engineering work on the projects assigned is carried out within established budgets and schedules. To provide all necessary piping assistance during construction, commissioning and start up phases by resolving piping related site technical queries on immediate basis. Good knowledge of Offshore & Marine Piping Systems. Good knowledge of classification society rules to carry out detail design piping work is essential. Good knowledge of international codes & standards such as ASME/JIS/ DNV/ ASTM is essential. Sometimes carry out Cable tray and HVAC 3D modeling and drawings using any 3D software mentioned above.

Qualification :

B.E/B.Tech Mechanical Engineer or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience in Engineering design of piping systems of Marine/offshore field. Advance Diploma in Piping design is preferred.

Desired profile of the candidate :

Must have good knowledge in design & modelling of pipe and equipment modeling in software like Cadmatic. Shipcon/FORAN/Plant 3D/Aveva E3D/ Aveva Marine is preferred. Good knowledge of piping detailed /production drawings such as piping isometrics , piping support fabrication drawings, MTOs, Piping layouts is must Good Knowledge in Marine & Offshore field Good analytical, planning and reporting skills Fluent in English (spoken and written) To independently handle piping engineering responsibilities of specific project. To co-ordinate with other disciplines such as Mechanical equipment, Electrical, Structural and Instrumentation in subject to Interface issues. Familiar with Point Cloud environment for retrofit projects. Knowledge of Scrubber / BWTS retrofit projects is an added advantage.
