About the Role:
Engineer, Data is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data infrastructure that supports efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources. This role designs and implements robust data pipelines, optimizes data delivery, and automates manual processes using modern programming languages and cloud technologies. The Engineer, Data focuses on scalable infrastructure and close collaboration with analytics and data science teams to enhance data functionality. Success is measured by the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of data systems and the actionable insights they enable. This work supports organizational decision-making and operational efficiency by providing robust data solutions to internal stakeholders.
What Youll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipeline architectures to ensure efficient data processing and delivery
• Assemble and integrate large, complex data sets that meet business and technical requirements
• Develop analytics tools that leverage data pipelines to generate insights on business performance metrics
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs
• Create data tools that assist analytics and data science teams in optimizing product and business performance
• Work with data and analytics experts to enhance data system functionality and capabilities
• Optimize data pipelines and platforms for reliability, scalability, and performance across cloud environments

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
• 35 years of experience in Data Engineering or a closely related technical role
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating modern data pipelines and data platforms
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes
• Ability to manage work across multiple projects with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical partners

Must Have Skills:

• Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases Any Database experience
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, Go, and SQL -
• Experience with big data technologies and platforms including Databricks, Spark, Kafka, and cloud-native data services
• Experience building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT patterns and data engineering best practices
• Ability to develop, support, and operate data platforms across cloud and enterprise environments

Nice to Have:

• Experience with additional cloud or data platform certifications, such as Microsoft Azure Data Engineer (DP-203) or equivalent
• Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization of large-scale data systems
• Experience working in agile or iterative development environments
• Experience building and integrating Governance tools and SaaS application
