Job Description

A Civil Engineer for Steel Manufacturing designs, manages, and oversees the construction of steel plant infrastructure, focusing on structural integrity, safety, and compliance, involving site analysis, detailed steel/RCC design (AutoCAD, STAAD Pro), project execution, quality control (NDT, audits), material management, and coordination with teams for expansions, equipment foundations, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Analysis: Perform structural analysis, design steel/RCC structures, and create detailed drawings for plant buildings, crane foundations, and material storage.
• Project Management: Oversee projects from conception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, resources, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Site Supervision: Manage site surveys, monitor construction, ensure adherence to specifications, and inspect quality and safety protocols.
• Quality & Safety: Implement safety measures, conduct structural audits, use NDT methods, ensure compliance with codes, and manage corrosion protection.
• Documentation: Prepare technical reports, material requisitions (BOQs, MTOs), and construction methodologies.
• Maintenance: Plan and manage maintenance, upgrades, and retrofitting of existing plant infrastructure.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Revit.
• Technical: Strong knowledge of steel structure design, fabrication, erection, RCC, pre-engineered buildings (PEB).
• Soft Skills: Communication, problem-solving, project management, coordination, attention to detail.
• Experience: Hands-on experience with site execution, material inspection, and industrial safety standards.
