Job Summary:

The Automation & SCADA Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, programming, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial automation and SCADA systems. The role involves managing automation projects end-to-end, integrating field devices, and ensuring reliable system performance for process and infrastructure applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop Automation & SCADA systems for industrial and infrastructure projects.

Prepare and review control philosophies, I/O lists, logic diagrams, and system architecture.

Develop and configure PLC, RTU, HMI, and SCADA software applications.

Perform PLC/SCADA programming, testing, simulation, and troubleshooting.

Lead and execute site commissioning, FAT, and SAT activities.

Integrate automation systems with instrumentation, communication networks, and databases.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure technical compliance and timely delivery.

Provide technical documentation, user manuals, and system training to end-users.

Implement system upgrades, backups, and cybersecurity best practices.

Ensure adherence to IEC, ISA, and industry standards for control systems.

Support maintenance and after-sales service for existing automation systems.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise:

Strong hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA, and HMI platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or ABB.

Proficiency in communication protocols - Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC, etc.

Knowledge of networking, control panels, and field instrumentation.

Familiar with water treatment, power, process automation, or infrastructure control systems.

Ability to handle complete project lifecycle - from design to commissioning.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership abilities.

Preferred Background:

Experience in Automation projects for water supply, wastewater treatment, power plants, or process industries.

Exposure to SCADA integration with telemetry systems and data centers.

Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity and system redundancy configurations.
