The Opportunity
We are seeking an Engagement and Admissions Specialist to support our strategic university partners by delivering exceptional service to prospective students and key stakeholders.
This role ensures a seamless applicant journey--from inquiry to enrollment--through meticulous evaluation, compliance management, and proactive engagement.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality admissions support in a fast-paced, international environment.
Role Summary
The E&A Specialist will be responsible for evaluating student applications, conducting eligibility and financial checks, ensuring compliance with university and immigration requirements, and maintaining accurate records across multiple systems. The role also involves supporting partner universities at events across India and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions & Application Management
Deliver high-quality, customer-oriented guidance on admissions policies and procedures.
Conduct initial checks on applications, including entry requirements, document validation, and data accuracy.
Undertake fee assessments and refer complex cases where necessary.
Process application outcomes within agreed Acumen and university timelines.
Maintain accurate records on university systems and Acumen's CRM platforms.
Prepare and manage key immigration documentation for international students.
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise professionally with university admissions, recruitment, and compliance teams.
Respond promptly to applicant and agent queries with accurate and accessible information.
Proactively contact applicants to support progression through the admissions journey.
Represent university partners at student fairs, events, and recruitment activities across India (approx. 25% travel required).
Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance
Conduct background and financial assessments to verify authenticity of supporting documents (e.g., bank statements, sponsor letters, and loan documents).
Identify potential risk factors and flag high-risk applications in line with SSVF and university policies.
Ensure all activities adhere to university standards, data protection, and compliance regulations.
Stay updated on changes in immigration, academic, and policy frameworks affecting admissions.
Operational Excellence
Adhere to standard operating procedures and quality benchmarks.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth delivery of services.
Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
Experience in EdTech or the education sector.
Prior experience studying or working abroad.
Skills and Competencies
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical and organisational skills.

Knowledge of higher education admissions processes and student visa regulations preferred.
