Our Transformation team owns and manages GoDaddyaAEURA(TM)s key financial systems including our accounting, tax, and outbound payment platforms. The work we do directly enables GoDaddy to calculate and report period performance and track all financial flows. Our team works to onboard and integrate new company acquisitions, deliver on feature requests for the ever-growing business operations, and handle infrastructure scalability.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help modernise our platforms. This role involves designing and coding solutions to address both business requirements and platform usability. As GoDaddy continues to expand scope of offerings at a rapid pace, this role will also focus on optimising our internal processes and infrastructure to scale with ease

What you'll get to do...

• Develop features to advance our tax platform and payment platform primarily, with support for accounting operations
• Become an expert in our collaboratorsaAEURA(TM) data; partner with our finance and tax teams on solutions as much as gather requirements from them
• Identify and implement improvements to our Developer Productivity initiatives, especially those geared toward consistency within and between platforms
• Iteratively reduce our tech debt by categorising existing jobs, repos, servers, etc and planning migration to a consolidated architecture and flow
• Support research efforts and influence tool/architecture selection on modernised platform components, both on-prem and in AWS

Your experience should include...

• 4+ years of enterprise software development experience
• Professional development experience in a Windows server environment a MUST
• Proficiency with C#/.NET and a SQL extension such as T-SQL
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to translate high level business asks into technical requirements independently
• A sense of ownership over the systems you support
• Ability to adjust quickly between changing priorities
• Ability to overlap with the US Arizona time zone on a regular basis

You might also have...

• Exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls
• Experience setting up CICD/automated deployments
• Prior experience on an enterprise financial system or knowledge of accounting or tax practices
• Python and Airflow experience
• AWS architectural design experience
