BrandMonitor is a global IT and legal company specializing in intellectual property rights protection. BrandMonitor represents more than 450+ international brands from different industries (apparel, accessories, and luxury goods) and helps them fight counterfeiting worldwide. We are currently seeking a motivated IP Litigation Lawyer to join our dynamic team in India- Mumbai. Key responsibilities include: Preparing and sending cease and desist letters to IP infringers; Preparing and filing trademark and copyright infringement lawsuits; Representing rights holders in courts; Carrying out enforcement proceedings; Drafting, negotiating and concluding settlement agreements with IP infringers; Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop effective litigation strategies and protect the company\'s IP rights; Staying updated with the latest developments in IP law and regulations; Assisting BrandMonitor in doing business in Mumbai, India. Desired skills and qualifications: Bachelor\'s Degree in Law from a reputable law faculty is a must; Proven experience in IP litigation, conducting civil and criminal raids, sending cease and desist notices, initiating negotiations, settlements and closures at all stages of enforcements in trademark and copyright infringement; Strong knowledge of Indian IPR laws, regulations, and procedures; Outstanding analytical, communication, and negotiation skills; Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases simultaneously; Fluent Hindi (Marathi optional) and English are mandatory; 3+ years of experience in a similar field and/or a law firm specializing in IP rights protection is required.
