What are we looking for We are looking for an Energy Plus Engineer who is responsible for using the Energy software to perform energy modeling and analysis for buildings. They specialize in optimizing building energy performance, identifying energy-saving opportunities, and recommending energy-efficient solutions. Roles As a Energy Plus modeller you will be responsible for defining the ideal baseline for large-scale energy analysis of commercial and residential buildings. Responsible for applying energy codes and standards to Energy Plus models. Will ensure the timelines are met for each project execution. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinate solutions Inform the team any issues identified during the Energy Modelling. Collaborate with colleagues to provide innovative sustainability and energy efficiency solutions and strong engineering/analysis capabilities. Responsibilities Minimum three years professional experience using EnergyPlus. Knowledge of latest ashrae building energy codes and standards. Knowledge and understanding of building science and HVAC systems. In-depth understanding of HVAC System Design for CAV, VAV, VRF, Chiller and Building Energy Modelling. Conducting research on energy modelling topics and software tools Knowledge of building systems, energy technologies, green building, and high-performance Design. Support the development of designs, specifications, systems narratives, and system layouts for a variety of projects and project sizes. Keep the team informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional Services. Keen Observation skills with an eye for detail. Excellent communication and people skills. Understanding of object-oriented software architecture and software design. Experience working with the PNNL/DOE prototype models for Energy Plus. Experience or exposure to MEP design work. Experience with open-source software development.
