Overview:
What you’ll be responsible for:

Review building plans and specifications
Set up and run whole-building energy model systems including building envelope, lighting, HVAC, domestic hot water, and process loads based on design drawings and on-site information
Actively participate in project discussions and meetings to review project details and deadlines
Communicate in graphic and/or written form the inputs, methodology, and key findings and recommendations from the energy models

Qualifications:
Qualifications for the Energy Modeler Associate position include:

Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Science, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
Experience with commercial, institutional, and residential building HVAC systems design & operation
Specialized technical expertise in energy analysis, modeling, and energy code compliance using software such as eQuest, OpenStudio, EnergyPlus, Design Builder, DOE-2, etc
Knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1 and ASHRAE 62.1
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and AutoCAD.
Excellent technical writing and verbal skills
Strong problem solving, analytical and research skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute numerous project responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
