The Energy Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing energy usage across telecom sites to ensure cost efficiency, reliability, and compliance. The role supports energy management initiatives, fuel control, and implementation of energy-saving and green energy solutions while coordinating with O&M teams and vendors.
Key Responsibilities1. Energy Monitoring & Control
Monitor energy consumption (grid, DG, battery, solar) across telecom sites.
Track daily energy performance, outages, and abnormal consumption patterns.
Analyze energy data to identify losses, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
2. Fuel & DG Management
Monitor DG run hours and fuel consumption.
Support fuel reconciliation, variance analysis, and pilferage control.
Coordinate with O&M teams for DG efficiency improvement.
3. Energy Optimization Initiatives
Support implementation of energy-saving projects (solar, hybrid power, lithium batteries, efficient rectifiers).
Assist in site energy audits and load optimization.
Track benefits and savings from energy efficiency initiatives.
4. Vendor & Utility Coordination
Coordinate with electricity boards, fuel vendors, and energy solution partners.
Support meter installation, calibration, and billing verification.
Ensure timely resolution of power-related issues.
5. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly energy MIS reports.
Maintain records related to energy KPIs, fuel usage, and savings.
Support internal and external energy audits.
6. Compliance & Sustainability
Support compliance with energy-related regulations and company policies.
Assist in sustainability and carbon footprint reduction initiatives.
Maintain documentation for green energy and ESG reporting.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with O&M, Finance, Network, and Planning teams.
Support new site rollouts and upgrades from an energy readiness perspective.
Key Skills & Competencies
Understanding of telecom power and energy systems
Data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, dashboards, energy tools)
Knowledge of DG, batteries, rectifiers, and renewable energy
Fuel management and reconciliation skills

Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Energy Engineering
Energy Management certification (preferred)
Experience
3-7 years of experience in energy management or telecom utility operations
