Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our medical team. The Endoscopy Technician will play a crucial role in assisting with endoscopic procedures and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, patient interaction, and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain endoscopy equipment, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and in proper working condition. Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by handling equipment, collecting specimens, and providing necessary supplies. Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses during procedures. Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures and equipment maintenance. Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly. Provide patient education and post-procedure care instructions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an Endoscopy Technician preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in endoscopy or gastroenterology. Strong knowledge of endoscopic instruments and equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
