The EMT Technician is responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients during emergencies, safely transporting patients to healthcare facilities, and assisting medical professionals in delivering pre-hospital emergency care.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide pre-hospital medical care.
Assess patient condition and provide first aid, CPR, oxygen therapy, and basic life support (BLS).
Safely transfer and transport patients to hospitals or medical facilities.
Assist doctors and nurses during patient handover.
Operate and maintain ambulance equipment and ensure vehicle readiness.
Follow standard emergency protocols and safety guidelines.
Maintain accurate patient care records and incident reports.
Ensure cleanliness and disinfection of ambulance after each trip.
Communicate effectively with emergency control rooms and hospital staff.
Provide emotional support to patients and relatives during emergencies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma / Certification in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Valid EMT certification recognized by the concerned authority.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory).
ACLS certification (preferred).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
Physically fit and mentally alert.
Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
