About the Role

The Employee Relations Manager role within the organization is being a confidential, trusted advisor for both employer and employee by providing expert advice on complex matters.
The ERM works closely and in collaboration with employment lawyers (internal and external), Compliance function, Head of Human Resources , Human Resources Business Partners & Business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Conducting investigations of complex cases to establish relevant facts required to resolve cases

Delivering report in plain English, concise documentation including investigation reports that can be easily understood by Indian, regional and global functions, and which address all relevant matters

Being the first touchpoint for low complexity cases like PIPs, performance related and partner with HRBP to enable actions

Maintaining database of all ER cases, relevant documentation, and records in line with legal and company requirements

Navigating between complex labor law and business strategy to resolve complaints between managers and employees whilst acknowledging RELX business priorities

Building and maintaining a Disciplinary matrix of cases, templates to ensure operational efficiency, consistency, and uniformity

Being a trusted advisor in employee relations practices and collaborate with business leaders, HRBPs, legal on critical elements of investigation outcomes

Driving POSH and ensure a positive constructive working relationship with RELX ICC internal team and external counsel

Coaching and guiding HRBPs to drive proactive measures to mitigate and ensuring appropriate resolution of all cases

Requirements

Have atleast 5-7 yrs of core ER experience function as a team member or team lead in a mid to large MNC;

Experience of working in a highly matrixed, fast paced organization with attention to detail

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build successful relationships

Demonstrate emotional intelligence and empathy in all interactions and maintaining the ability to firmly deliver difficult messages when necessary;

Show interest and enthusiasm in the latest developments on labor law and best practices in ER related topics

Be a great problem solver, with analytical approach to solve complex issues and highly focussed on results
