Emo resposbilities

:

Patient assessment and triage:

Quickly evaluate patients and prioritize them based on the severity of their condition.

Emergency and critical care:

Provide immediate medical assessment, treatment, and stabilization for a wide range of medical, surgical, and trauma cases and performing procedures like starting IV lines and giving injections.

Coordination and communication:

Co ordination with nurses, paramedics, and other consultants, and coordinate with departments like lab and radiology for patient management. They also need to communicate with patients' families about the diagnosis and treatment plan.

Documentation and record-keeping:

Maintain accurate patient records, treatment sheets, and emergency logs.

Medication and treatment:

Administer medications, monitor patient vitals, and update treatment plans.

Shift management:

Ensure the smooth functioning of the emergency department, especially during night shifts, and report any critical events to senior staff.

Additional duties:

May include handling medico-legal cases (MLCs), maintaining cleanliness and infection control, and assisting in mass casualty incidents.
