Job Purpose:

To provide immediate and high-quality medical care to patients presenting in emergency conditions, ensuring stabilization, diagnosis, and management according to hospital protocols and ethical medical practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide urgent care and resuscitation to critically ill or injured patients. Rapidly assess patients and initiate timely medical interventions. Perform life-saving procedures such as airway management, intubation, CPR, etc. Supervise triage and prioritize treatment based on severity and clinical condition. Collaborate with nurses, paramedics, and other doctors to ensure cohesive care. Refer patients to specialists or departments when needed for further management. Maintain accurate documentation, case sheets, and records for all patients. Communicate effectively with patient attendants regarding the patient's condition, care plan, and updates. Ensure readiness and functionality of emergency medical equipment and inventory. Participate in clinical audits, training programs, and emergency preparedness drills.

Qualifications & Requirements:

MBBS with valid registration (mandatory) MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine preferred (not compulsory) BLS and ACLS certification required Minimum 2-4 years of experience in an Emergency Department

Skills & Competencies:

Ability to perform under pressure and make quick decisions Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills Team-oriented with strong communication and leadership skills Compassionate approach to patient care Familiarity with emergency protocols and critical care standards

Working Hours

Rotational shifts / Based on hospital schedule
