Job Description

Providing emergency care to patients in the ER by monitoring the patients' temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Assisting with emergency medical processes, such as dressing wounds and administering stitches. Compiling all medical paperwork for patients, such as discharge instructions, medical aid documentation, and aftercare guidelines. Measuring and fitting patients with casts or crutches, and instructing patients on proper crutch walking. Taking medical samples from patients, such as blood or urine. Assisting doctors or nurses during medical procedures by handing them medical instruments and monitoring patients' vital signs. Ensuring that patients receive their medication. Informing patients' family members about the status of their condition as well as their medical needs. Helping the nursing and administrative staff with updating patients' medical records.
