Job Description

Core responsibilities

Patient assessment:

Conduct initial assessments and triage patients based on the severity of their condition.

Diagnostic ordering:

Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, blood tests, and other imaging.

Treatment and stabilization:

Provide immediate and effective medical treatment to stabilize patients, especially those with life-threatening conditions.

Procedural skills:

Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, suturing, and advanced life support.

Patient management:

Develop patient care plans and refer patients to appropriate specialists for further evaluation after stabilization.

Team collaboration:

Work with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Documentation:

Accurately and promptly document patient information and maintain medical records.

Patient education:

Provide patients with necessary education and instructions for care after discharge.

Quality assurance:

Participate in quality assurance activities and stay up-to-date with advancements in emergency medicine.

Leadership:

Organize and supervise emergency room activities and staff.
