Assist in initial assessment and triage of emergency patients.
Record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration, SpO?).
Prepare patients for examination, treatment, or procedures.
Provide basic life support (BLS) as needed.
Assist in wound care, dressing, splinting, IV cannula preparation, and other minor procedures.
Support during emergency resuscitations (CPR, airway management assistance).
Ensure comfort and emotional support for patients and families.
2. Clinical Support:
Set up, operate, and maintain emergency care equipment (defibrillator, suction machines, oxygen delivery systems).
Assist in ECG recording and monitoring.
Collect and label samples (blood, urine, swabs) as instructed.
Assist in transferring and positioning patients safely.
3. Emergency Preparedness & Safety:
Maintain readiness of emergency equipment, crash trolley, and medications.
Check expiry dates and stock levels of supplies; report shortages promptly.
Ensure cleanliness and infection-control standards in the emergency area.
4. Documentation & Coordination:
Enter patient details, vital signs, and care notes accurately in the EMR/register.
Coordinate with lab, radiology, pharmacy, and other departments for timely investigations.
Report critical observations immediately to the medical and nursing team.
