Job Description

? To perform day-to-day duties in the embryology laboratory, including all advanced embryology techniques.

? To ensure an excellence of care for all gametes and embryos in the laboratory.

? To perform all duties effectively and to the highest possible standard, with meticulous attention to detail

? To participate in regular ongoing quality control of laboratory equipment, and to monitor KPIs.

? To continually strive to advance the patient experience / success and identify and suggest areas where improvements can be made.

? To support the lead embryologist in achieving long term operational goals.

? To take part in the rota of duties, including on-call and weekend work, and to work flexibly to perform tasks as and when necessary including 'out of normal working hours'

? To ensure that appropriate written consent is obtained for all embryology and research procedures To counsel patients regarding implications of treatment options to ensure accurate information is given and informed choices made

? To give embryology and scientific advice to clinical colleagues as required.

? To write, review and amend embryology Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Work Instructions

? Assessment of fertilization and embryo development.

? Reconstitution of frozen oocytes and embryos during subsequent natural or stimulated cycles.

? To bring forward creative ideas to help improve the Science Function, or any part of the clinic to enhance patient treatment/care.

? To train and oversee the training of new staff in accordance with, best practice and relevant guidelines from professional bodies.

? To develop, motivate, coach and provide advice and mentorship to embryologists and trainees.

Other Duties & Responsibilities



Preservation of gametes and embryos for future use; Embryo culture and cryopreservation; Micromanipulation and testing of suitability of each gamete; Preparation of gametes and the environment for IVF and facilitation of fertilisation; Determining fertility levels of individuals; The collection of eggs and sperm (gametes) from patients for processing; Record keeping. Maintaining viability of gametes, tissues and embryos during processing; Monitoring and maintaining cryobanks; Maintaining an understanding of human reproductive biology, embryology, infertility and ART; Having knowledge of and complying with quality control, ethical issues, and regulations surrounding gamete and embryo handling; Monitoring embryo development; Embryo selection for transfer to recipient women, research or other intended use and the implantation of embryos into reproductive organs; Care and maintenance of equipment; Using assisted reproductive technologies (ART) to help with infertility Perform other duties as requested by the management.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
